What Is Yoga?
It is a traditional teaching that works with body, breath, voice and mind. Like any skill, it is more effective with the help and guidance of a teacher.
Yoga explores ways to improve lifestyle and well-being and helps to:
- manage stress and anxiety
- enhance flexibility, strength and energy
- ease disorders such as arthritis, asthma, back pain, circulatory & digestive problems and hypertension
- restore health following illness or injury
- support sporting activities
- reduce dependencies on, e.g., social / medical drugs, food, etc.
- prepare for childbirth and post-pregnancy
- develop a personal meditation practice
